The Early Goodbye
My grandmother “Mimi” was the strongest person I knew – she still moved better than I did the year she went through assisted suicide, and that was how she wanted to be remembered.
My film is not here to say whether assisted suicide is right or wrong, it’s to show how different generations feel about death. A 20-year-old who still thinks they will live forever will think differently about death later in their life. How someone dies will affect how they are remembered, because in the end that’s all anyone has. Is it wrong to want to be able to make that choice?
